Upcycled Hardware Vases

Let’s get crafty!

I’m hooked on Perrier sparkling water. For me, it has little to do with the water itself, and much to do with this gorgeous green glass bottles it comes in.

I have trouble throwing the bottles away because I always think “I should make something out of these.” So this past weekend I finally fulfilled my wildest Perrier dreams and made these Upcycled Hardware Vases out of my old bottles. A monkey can make them, and they’re super duper cheap. Here’s how.

2. Nuts

3. Hot glue gun

Gluing these nuts onto the bottle is pretty self explanatory, but I do have one tip. When applying the glue, try to glue the nut to both the bottle and the nut it’s going next to. It’ll make it more secure.

Choosing a pattern

I chose to have one “statement bottle” and a couple fairly simple ones. I did a wrap effect on the large bottle. I like the think of it as an “8” wrapped around the bottle.

For the smaller bottles, I did a single strand around the opening as a trim.
