What We Used…
9 x Square Glass Vases at Varying Heights
2 x Dozen Roses
1 Bunch of Orchids
6 Apples
1 x Bunch of Grapes
Gords of various sizes and colors
Strips of Burlap and Hot Glue – If you want to Embellish some vases
Floating Candles
Start by prepping two of your shorter square vases. Create a grid using tape (watch this video for a quick DIY) then cut your roses the height of the vases and tuck them down in a little modern square.
Next you can build two of your taller vases out. In these guys we used less roses so we peeled back the petals to create a more open flower to take up more space. Just be careful if you do this, it’s easy to tear your petal.
We filled the next short vase completely with orchids, but you can feel free to mix and match if you’d prefer.
Before you add everything to the table, you can embellish your taller vases by cutting a strip of burlap and hot gluing it to the vase. When you’re done using it, the burlap and hot glue will peel right off.
Float some apples in one vase and some grapes in another. The rest of the vases can be filled with water and topped with a floating candle. I’d recommend placing a runner down on your table first, then you can add the vases in a line.
This is a fun option for your Thanksgiving table, and the mix and match element means that nothing has to look perfect.
Rachel’s Chic Tip: If you want a centerpiece to sit on the table throughout dinner make sure it’s low enough that guests can easily talk over the top of it.
