It’s time for another Chic grilling recipe! We’re bringing you a super easy appetizer that’s perfect for any party or gathering. I’m currently obsessing over warm brie, so I took it to the grill for a few minutes and topped it with a sweet preserve. Did I mention there’s also grilled bread involved?
Lightly brush the baguette slices with olive oil. Grill on a hot stovetop or outdoor grill for a few seconds on each side. You just want to toast them and get some nice grill marks. Set off to the side, while you grill the brie.
After the bread has been grilled, you can go ahead and place the brie on the hot grill.
The final step is to just top the grilled brie with cherry preserves. Store bought is perfect. There’s no need to go out of your way by making your own. Feel free to use whatever flavored preserves you’d like!
You can also lay out crackers and sliced vegetables, along with the grilled bread slices. Give this recipe a try at your next party or gathering. It’s the perfect appetizer with a few glasses of wine! Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving a comment below. Enjoy!
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 1 brie cheese round
- 1/2 cup cherry preserves
- Heat a stovetop or outdoor grill over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or vegetable oil.
- Brush the baguette slices with olive oil, on both sides. Grill for a few seconds, turning once, until toasted and grill marks have formed. Transfer to a plate or platter. Set aside.
- Brush the brie round with olive oil. Grill for about 2 minutes, per side, or until it's warmed through, and it begins to get golden brown on each side. (Don't over grill it because it'll melt too much). Transfer it to a serving platter, and top with the preserves. Eat warm with the grilled bread slices. Enjoy!
