A few weeks ago the whole Chic Team went on a little retreat. It was an awesome time to hang out and plan for 2015 and it culminated with a big vision board session. I asked everyone to use magazines to pull out photos or words that inspire them and could be used as motivation for the upcoming year. Since it was so fun and inspiring I thought it would be a neat New Year’s tradition to create a family vision board.

Make Vision Boards with Your Kids

Save up a bunch of old magazines, pull out some paper and some glue and use New Year’s day as an opportunity to talk to your children about how to set goals for the year. It could be as simple as photos of fun activities to remind them to have fun or as specific as a thing they’d like to learn. On my personal vision board, I have everything from fashion I love to the kind of books I want to write. I keep my vision board on the bulletin board in my office as a reminder of the goals I set for myself. I’m going to have each of my kids create their own small page as part of our family vision board and then pin it up in their room as a reminder. I think it’s such a cool way to start the new year, what do you think?
