Disney Plane Marshmallow Pops

Enjoy the magic from the Disney movie Planes Fire and Rescue with these cute plane marshmallow pops. Made to look just like Rusty from the movie!
Prep time 40 minutes
Total time 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo marshmallows
  • 12 paper straws
  • 1/2 cup orange candy melts melted
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts melted
  • 1/4 cup yellow candy melts melted
  • 1/4 cup white candy melts melted
  • black fondant or black licorice or black candy rope
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • silver cake graffiti or silver candies

Instructions

  • Dip the very tip of each straw into the melted white candy melts. Then skewer with a jumbo marshmallow. Allow to sit for a few minutes to set.
  • Lightly dust a work surface with powdered sugar. Roll out the fondant into a thin rectangle. Cut out the propellers, three for each plane pop. Set on a baking sheet and allow to air dry for a few minutes, until firm. Dip the edge of each propeller into the yellow candy melts, place back on the baking sheet and allow to set. To make the nose of the planes, shape small pieces of black fondant into a small cone shape. Allow to harden. Paint the noses with the silver cake graffiti.
  • To finish the plane pops. Dip the top and the edge of each marshmallow into the melted orange candy melts. Plaint two blue stripes (with the melted blue candy melts) on either side of the marshmallow.
  • Attach the propellers and noses to the flat edge of each pop, while the orange "icing" is still wet. Stand the pops up right in a jar filled with candy or cotton balls (to look like clouds). Enjoy!
