Hamburger Stew

Use hamburger meat and veggies to create hamburger stew a simple and heartwarming soup that's perfect for your crackpot!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground sirloin or ground beef
  • 1 large yellow onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 2 stalks of celery diced
  • 2 large carrots diced
  • 6 red potatoes diced
  • 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef stock or broth
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • saltine crackers for topping

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef or sirloin and begin to break it up with a wooden spoon, cooking until brown and crisped. Add the diced onions and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes. Throw in the remaining veggies and continue to cook for another 5 minutes to soften. Add the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef stock and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, cumin and paprika. Lower the heat and continue to cook for half an hour or until the potatoes are soft.
  • Serve with saltine crackers. Enjoy!
