Easy to make slow cooker chicken lettuce wraps that are packed with flavor. The slow cooker does all the work for you! Perfect for parties and gatherings.
18-ounce can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1/4cupsliced scallions
1tablespoonrice wine vinegar
2teaspoonssesame oil
2cupscooked white or brown riceoptional
2heads Boston or iceberg lettuce
Instructions
Combine the chicken, onion, garlic, bell pepper, hoisin, soy sauce, salt, and pepper in the bowl of your slow cooker. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken has cooked through and the sauce has thickened. Make sure to stir every once in a while.
Stir in the chestnuts, scallions, vinegar, sesame oil and rice (if using). Serve warm with lettuce on the side.
