Ingredients

  • 1 pre-baked pizza dough
  • 1 15oz can refried beans
  • 2 cups monterey or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onions diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 jalapeño chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 roma tomato diced
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1/2 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1/4 cup scallions sliced
  • sour cream for topping
  • hot sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Bake the pizza crust to brown it slightly and crisp it up. Remove from oven and set aside.
  • In a large skillet brown the ground beef with the onions, garlic, and jalapeño, until fully cooked. Stir in the seasonings, and tomato sauce and cook for about 5 minutes. Cook the refried beans in a small pot, smashing them with the back of a spoon. I like to add a splash of water to thin them out a bit.
  • Spread the baked pizza crust with the beans and top with cheese. Bake for about 5 minutes to melt the cheese. Top with the seasoned taco filling and sprinkle on the toppings. Cut into slices and serve right away. Enjoy!
