Do you have a salty snack addiction? Are you trying to drop a few pounds, shape up or stay healthy? Well we’ve got a snack trick for you! These kale chips are quick and easy to make, and the perfect substitute for any potato chip craving. Not to mention that kale is low in calories and high in fiber, iron, vitamins and antioxidants. At the chic office, we try to stay healthy and this is our go to snack. It makes you feel like you’re indulging without any of the negatives. So in other words, you should make it! Here’s how.
Ingredients:
Kale
Olive Oil
Salt
Lemon Juice
Red pepper flakes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
We used pre-cut kale leaves that came in a bag, but if you buy a bushel remove the leaves from the stems and tear into bite size pieces.
Wash and thoroughly dry kale.
Line a cookie sheet with foil and lay your kale leaves on top.
Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice over the kale leaves
Sprinkle salt and red pepper flakes on top.
Put in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are brown and crisp.
Take them out of the oven and let cool.
They will be deliciously crispy, spicy and salty. I really enjoyed this snack because it gives you that saltiness you want in a midday snack while being really light and healthy.
