I’m more than a little obsessed with the festive straws that have been gracing every wedding and party for the last couple of years. They’re so very inexpensive and they add such a sweet touch to any event that I’m forever trying to come up with fun ways to use them. When I saw these brown and white striped version on Shop Sweet Lulu my first thought was “those would be so cute with chocolate milk!”
And like so many of my other party elements, an idea for Chocolate Milk Party Favors was born! Once I came up with the idea for these favors (which would be just darling for a toddler’s birthday party) I had to get pink and white options too so we could really cover all the flavors. The idea is that each serving is perfect for a glass of chocolate, strawberry or vanilla milk complete with the straw to drink it with! Even with all the craft supplies the combined total for these is less than $2 a piece and they’re so much more fulfilling than the boring old “party bag” filled with candy!
Here’s What You’ll Need
Cellophane Treat Bags
Paper Straws
Card Stock – To create your labels
Hole Punch
Twine or Ribbon
Powdered Chocolate Milk Mix – Can use strawberry and vanilla too
Feel free to create your own labels, or use the ones I created above my saving to your computer and printing out.
Use a paper cutter or scissors to cut out your labels.
Add a couple of spoonfuls of each mix into separate bags.
Use twine to tie the bag closed with the label and the appropriate straw. So cute!!
You can add the bags to existing gift bags, a dessert table or put them in a galvanized pail for a country feel.
