Here at Chic we’re big fans of a slow-cooker recipe! So we thought it would be a great idea to make hot chocolate in the slow-cooker. It’s perfect for parties and with a few helpful tricks from us, you can set up your own Hot Cocoa Bar at your next holiday party!
This is a simple recipe. The hardest part is dumping everything into the slow-cooker. It’s not that complicated.
Add in the chocolate chips and give it a stir every now and then while the hot cocoa cooks. This will ensure the chocolate melts evenly.
After two hours you can set up your hot cocoa bar… this makes a great addition to a Cookie Exchange Party. Place a bunch of different toppings and add-ins into short and tall cups and glasses to create different heights!
We used different toppings like cookies, wafers, sprinkles, butterscotch chips, white chocolate, candy canes, marshmallows and whipped cream to go along with our slow cooker hot cocoa! You can post little signs by each to make it easier for your guests.
You can even put a cute sign in the center or end of the bar to let people know what is happening!
All that’s left to do is serve yourself a cup and run wild with the topping possibilities and options!
This is the perfect set up for your holiday party or small gathering with family. It’s especially great if you have kids. So the next time you’re looking for something new and fun to do, give this Slow-Cooker Hot Cocoa a try! Making it in a slow-cooker just means less work and stress for you.
