kid's birthday party ideas

Can I be honest?

Several months ago I had never even heard of Wild Kratts. One day Sawyer came into my room and asked me if I could find it for him on TV and I was so confused. Apparently all the kids at school were talking about it and he wanted to see what it was. So, we found it and I got to experience the adventures of the Kratt brothers along with Aviva, Koki and Jimmy and I totally understood why all the other kids in first grade love it so much. Check out all their cool stuff here. We’re celebrating our new found Kratt’s love with a new recipe for Wild Kratts Party Punch and– and this is SO stinking exciting– teaming up with the Kratt brothers to give away tickets to see the Wild Kratts Live tour!! Scroll down for the recipe and to enter to win tickets to see Wild Kratts Live in Bakersfield, San Diego and Los Angeles.

how to make punch

The night before or a couple day’s before you plan on making the Wild Kratts party punch, make your bug ice cubes! Please note that we used large bugs and large ice cubes. Don’t use anything small because someone accidentally swallowing a small plastic bug will put a damper on any party.

When you’re ready to make the punch, place the fine sugar in a large punch bowl. You want fine sugar so that it dissolves into the punch.

Pour in the remaining ingredients, making sure to stir well, so that the sugar dissolves completely.

ginger ale and pineapple punch

To make the punch green, we added two packets of lime flavored drink mix (like Kool-Aid). Or you can stir in a few drops of green food coloring.

non-alcoholic punch

Right before serving, throw in the bug ice cubes. You can mix them in with regular ice cubs as well, just to add more body to the punch.

It would be a great centerpiece to your Wild Kratts party buffet, and it takes no time at all to whip up.
