healthy ways to start your day

I like hearing about how other people stay healthy, I love seeing the workout pictures on Instagram. But when it comes to tangible guidance I can actually use in my real life? It needs to be simpler. It needs to be achievable. It needs to be something I can easily incorporate into my day. So that’s what I’m sharing with you. Have a healthy morning and your likely to continue to reach for healthy practices all day long. 

 

  1. Drink a Glass of Water – It’s such a simple trick and so easy to accomplish. It’s great for your skin and kick starts your metabolism. Need some encouragement? Consider flavored water. Every Sunday I choose a new water ingredient to slice up and keep in my fridge. I like lemons, oranges, cucumber, strawberry, apples and even herbs.
  2. Prep Your Breakfast – Everyone says it’s the most important meal of the day for good reason but if I wait until morning, chances are I’m going to skip it or eat something random. Instead, set yourself up for success by pre-making your breakfast for the week. Try our parfaits to-go, all these scrambled egg recipes or overnight oatmeal.
  3. Don’t Forget Snacks – Healthy morning time is the perfect time to make sure you’ve got great snacks for the whole day. Seriously guys, if you make sure you’ve got good options on hand you won’t run the chance of reaching for something terrible. I know I make the worst dietary mistakes when I’m starving… so the key is, don’t ever let yourself get there!
