TheChic_Kitchenbeauty2

Some of my favorite beauty essentials are straight from my kitchen. Before I gave them a try, I imagined it took hours to make these homemade concoctions and a boho-chic hippie gene that I desperately wanted but was lacking. It turns out neither was the case. My kitchen concoctions double as money savers and skin soothers, not to mention healthier hair. Sure, my husband is still a little baffled when he finds a lemon in our shower, but he has also commented on my glowing skin. ~Brandee

COCONUT OIL
What It Does: Deeply moisturizes skin and hydrates ends of hair.
How I Use It: I use this as my all over lotion to moisturize my face, body and especially feet. For a hair mask, I work it into the ends of my hair, toss up in a bun and let it do the work overnight.
* A little goes a long way and leaves a subtle summertime scent.

Brandee’s Chic Tip: I started out using lemons and then little by little incorporated all of these tricks into my beauty routine over the years. Pick one and give it a try, then if you like it, try another. Don’t overwhelm yourself with all 7 at once! Tell me in a comment below, which one are you going to try?
