The best way to keep my skin smooth and clear is a good scrub. So I decided to make one! I don’t know if it’s the hot weather or the fact that summer is right around the corner, but I was inspired by fresh fruit for this homemade face scrub.
I know what you are thinking. Pineapple on my face? Fresh pineapple is a wonderful source of antioxidants and is loaded with Vitamin C and potassium. When applied to the skin, the enzymes in pineapple break down dirt and oil on skin, which can help keep skin clear. Once I tossed all the ingredients together, the coconut and pineapple concoction was looking a lot like a Pina Colada. So there you have it! A DIY Pina Colada Face Scrub good enough to eat. ~Brandee
