blue dress style

I bought this blue dress a few years back and it’s become my version of the LBD. I’ve worn it everywhere in every way. In fact, if you read by book Party Girl you might remember that the main character where’s a blue dress that infamous Thanksgiving dinner and this is the one I was describing. I figured a lot of you might have something similar and no matter what color yours is this makes a great option for Thanksgiving dinner. So, here are four options for how to style your little blue dress! ~Rachel

First up… Fancy! My family doesn’t celebrate a formal Thanksgiving but I know plenty of people who do. For this look I added a statement necklace, black tights, some great heels and textured clutch.

This casual outfit is the one you’d most likely find me in next Thursday. I love a big vibrant scarf because it can be used as an accessory or a wrap if you get chilly. Great flat boots also mean that I’m going to be comfortable and warm (especially without pants or leggings on!)

I recognize that fall isn’t quite warm enough for bare legs in most parts of the country so either of the two outfits above can be worn with leggings or tights. For the cozy ensemble I added a shearling vest, brown booties and a fun dangly earring.

Last up for comfy (meaning, you’re probably the one cooking all day in the kitchen) consider some black leggings and flats. Because you’ll be around food I’d suggest keeping your hair out of your face with a low bun and some great stud earrings.
