Today is National Wear Red Day so in honor of fighting heart disease here at The Chic Home we’re talking about rocking red in your home! More specifically, having the boldness to rock red walls, because adding a little red here and there is fairly easy to do, but owning the color red and being bold enough to put it on the walls takes guts.
When thinking of red walls done right, there is one room, one designer that always comes to mind – Jamie Meares. Seriously, her living room might just be my favorite room……..of all time. Every inch is pure perfect for me.
She makes red look so good, you’ll want to run down to the paint store right now and pick up a gallon or two. She balanced the warm red walls so perfectly with the blue curtain panels and lots of white.
I just love the way she seamlessly blends modern and traditional making the whole space feel completely fresh yet collected.
Painting that dresser the same color as the walls might just be my favorite part! What a great way to make something old look new again, and this really allows those gorgeous lamps to shine. There’s so much to love about this space, but I think the red walls are what make it truly exceptional!
