I love decorating my front porch for any and every holiday. I’ve done moss covered monograms and Halloween wreaths. I’ve done Christmas pieces covered with holly and even turned my door into an Easter bunny. But it’s fall now and even if the weather in LA doesn’t want to cooperate with my desire for crisp, windswept days my front porch definitely will!

For me a wreath is usually the easiest way to add some color and life to your entryway. I’ve had this feathered wreath for several years and I pull it out every September. A simple tip for keeping your wreaths in working order? Shop the clearance sales after Christmas and stock up on wreath containers. I store them in the wall of my garage year round and then I always know right where everything is when I’m ready to decorate.
This cool bench was something we inherited when we bought our house. If you have any kind of seating on your porch consider using it in the decor. I found the chicken pillow at Michaels and the pillow behind it was something I pulled out of our guest room. The “blanket” is actually one of my scarves.
I got several large pumpkins and tucked a mix of real leaves and silk leaves around them for a pop of color.
I took the potted plants that usually sit out front and swapped them for some fall themed flowers. The little sign was a quick and easy art project. I just bought the wooden piece at a craft store then used stencils and paint to make the sign.
I switched out the little plant that usually sits between my rockers for a small basket filled with little pumpkins. Even if you can’t do anything else but this, it’ll be an adorable little welcome for your guests.
Ford insisted on sitting in for this picture with me… but I think he’s the cutest bit of decor on the whole porch. Happy Fall Y’all!
