You guys I have –legitimately– six denim jackets hanging in my closet right now.
For real.
I’ve got white, black, dark indigo, washed out, true blue and my favorite denim jacket that I’ve worn for years. I love this jacket because it looks lived in. It’s roughed up and frayed in all the right places making it a little more rebel then polished. I typically pair it with anything and everything.
I dig so much I recently made it part of my Handpicked Collection (I picked and/or designed a bunch of gorgeous product that you can shop for the holidays) and I realized that I have pictures going back years with all the different ways I’ve rocked it. So, this one is for those of you who have or want a denim jacket and need some idea for how to style it.
Style this denim jacket with black skinny jeans, a black turtleneck and your favorite statement sneakers.
Style this denim jacket with an all white outfit. In this instance I rocked white jeans, a white t-shirt and added the brown belt to break up the monochromatic look.
This denim jacket also looks awesome with color. For this look I paired it with army green moto pants and a striped tank top. To dress it up I added a fun heel but I’ve also done pulled this together with some fun sneakers or boots as well.
I loooooove clothes that are easy to wear and track pants are a go-to at least once a week. I think pairing items that are more casual (like workout clothes or leggings) with the denim jacket makes it feel fresh and fun.
Black skinny jeans and a graphic tshirt are basically my uniform you guys so I do some combination of that with my denim jacket on the regular.
For something a bit more fun add in some cool statement shoes (instead of the usual sneakers) and a cross body bag.
Another way to wear your denim jacket is draped over your shoulders like a cape. With this outfit I wore it with a long black maxi dress but you can honestly do this with anything– I basically go this way whenever it’s not quite cool enough to wear the jacket on my arms.
With this outfit I also layered in some of my favorite necklaces: the I Love You pendant and the Wanderlust medallion.
