Every autumn, I would go apple-picking with my family at nearby orchards. (Yes, it’s hard to believe in Los Angeles– but there are plenty of apple orchards and ranches an hour drive away in Yucaipa and Oak Glen.) I’d come home with pounds and pounds of different varieties of apples. For rest of the month, my mother and I would come up with all sorts of new recipes to use up our harvest.
If you happen to be in the same predicament this fall, have no fear! From appetizers and drinks to entrees and desserts, I’ve put together a collection of unique apple recipes that I hope you enjoy! (Plus, they’re all vegetarian!)

Autumn and winter weather means soup! Nothing warms me up inside as much as a nice bowl of soup. This curried leek and apple soup by Karen of Lavender and Lovage sure looks comforting.
