One of the things that people comment on most when they come into our entryway for the first time is my Thank You Card Display. It’s made out of a manzanita branch that I set down inside a large black pot. I hung twine from the branches along with tiny clothes pins. Whenever I get a new thank you card (or a holiday card during the season) I pin it up in my tree.
I love using the tree as a card display because I think it’s eye catching and cool but the point is really that you take a moment to acknowledge the cards instead of just tucking them into a drawer or throwing them away. Whenever I see that tree full of thank you’s it reminds me that there are friends who are grateful for something our family has done. What better thing to have on display when you walk into your home each day?
