Do you have any spreadable cheese in the fridge? Fantastic!! Because here are five ways you can turn your spreadable cheese or cream cheese into a delicious snack!
WHOLE WHEAT VEGGIE WRAP
Ingredients-
– Whole wheat tortillas
– The Laughing Cow® Creamy Swiss Garlic and Herb Cheese Wedge
– fresh spinach
– red or green bell pepper, very thinly sliced
– alfalfa sprouts
-cucumber slices
-sliced red cabbage
Steps-
Grab a whole wheat tortilla, and spread a wedge of the cheese on top. Then load up the tortilla with all your favorite veggies. Fresh spinach, sliced bell peppers, sliced red cabbage, and sliced cucumbers is a great combo. Roll it up, and enjoy your veggie-packed snack or tasty lunch!
CELERY WITH A CRANBERRY TWIST
Ingredients-
– Celery
– The Laughing Cow® Creamy White Cheddar Cheese Wedge
– Dried cranberries
– Chopped pistachios
Steps-
Take the classic after-school snack and make it all grown up. Grab a piece of celery, spread on a wedge of cheese, then top with dried cranberries (check for ones with low added sugar) and a little blanket of chopped pistachios. You’ll never go back to the old way.
HAM IT UP
Ingredients-
-Ham
– The Laughing Cow® Creamy Original Swiss Cheese Wedge
– Pickle
Steps-
Sounds weird, tastes delicious! Spread a wedge of creamy cheese onto a slice of thick-cut ham. Layer on a dill pickle spear, then roll it up tight. Dig in immediately, or slice into one-inch bite-size pieces and top with a little sprig of fresh dill. This is a great one for those of you who are on a low-carb diet.
CUCUMBER SANDWICH
Ingredients-
– English Cucumber
– The Laughing Cow® Creamy Original Swiss Cheese Wedge
– Slice of Whole Grain Bread
– Sprig of Fresh Dill
Steps-
No tea party necessary to enjoy these refreshing and elegant sandwiches. Grab a slice of whole grain bread (I’m digging rye bread with these), and spread on a wedge of cheese . Top it with thinly shaved English cucumber slices. Why English cucumber? Well, they tend to have smaller seeds. Finish off the open-faced sandwich with some fresh dill.
RICE CAKE WITH CHEESE AND SPICE
Ingredients-
-Rice cake
-The Laughing Cow® Creamy Spicy Pepper Jack Cheese Wedge – this recipe is also awesome with hummus instead of cheese if you have that on hand
– Sun-dried tomatoes
-Black pepper
Steps-
Crunchy, creamy, and healthy, this snack is like the best of all worlds! Grab a brown rice cake, slather on a wedge of cheese, and then top with sun-dried tomatoes and a nice sprinkle of fresh cracked black pepper. Finish it off with some thinly sliced green onions. I dare you to stop at just one.
