While I love scented candles and scented sprays, most of the air fresheners available for sale are filled with toxins and chemicals that can often irritate noses and allergies. My sense of smell is very sensitive and sometimes air fresheners can give me headaches because the scents can be too powerful.
Natural air fresheners are a great way to make your kitchen and home smelling fabulous and clean! My mom used to do this all the time when my brother and I were kids. It’s a great way to get rid of kitchen odors in a pinch! Simply add sliced oranges or lemons to a pot of simmering water. Add cinnamon sticks, citrus peels, and cloves. Let the mixture simmer over medium heat and in a few minutes your home will be filled with a warm, cozy, and clean scent!
